A young woman, Laura, is getting therapy. She hears voices in her head. That ceases to matter when an alien invasion hits New York City. Most of the population are turned into zombies. Laura hooks up with a drifter, Neil, and they join other survivors. They start to see what the aliens are trying to do. Laura has a secret. They must find a way to stop the aliens.
